Welcome to Day 2 of Simi and Pedja’s gravel bikepacking adventure through the Verona and Lessinia region. Today, we join them as they depart from the charming Branchetto Camping and set out towards their next destination, the Rifugio Lausen.
The journey begins with a challenging climb up the winding mountain roads, but the stunning views of the Italian countryside make it all worthwhile. As they continue their ascent, Simi and Pedja encounter the rugged terrain of the Lessinia plateau, with its rocky paths and steep hills.
Despite the challenging terrain, Simi and Pedja keep their spirits high and share their tips and tricks for conquering the rough terrain on a gravel bike. They also take the time to explore the stunning natural beauty of the region, stopping to admire the picturesque mountain vistas and crystal-clear streams along the way.
As the day draws to a close, Simi and Pedja reach their destination, the Rifugio Lausen. This cozy mountain lodge offers a warm welcome and a well-deserved rest for our intrepid travelers. They settle in for the night, enjoying hearty Italian fare and recounting the day’s adventures.
